Does ChatGPT recommend your company – or your competitor?

More and more customers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini before they call. This check shows whether AI assistants can read, understand and trust your website, how you compare with a competitor and what to fix first.

Up to 5 terms, separated by commas. Optional, but makes the check much more precise.
  • 28 checks, not 10
  • up to 11 pages read
  • backlinks & knowledge graph
  • your keywords
  • competitor comparison
  • ready-made llms.txt

We only read publicly available pages. No sign-up. Your result is cached for 30 minutes.

Why it matters

If you're missing from the AI answer, nobody calls

  • Customers ask AI instead of Google

“Which tax advisor in Munich is good?” Questions like that now go to ChatGPT. The answer names two or three companies, not ten blue links.

  • AI names who it understands

It names companies whose website clearly says who does what for whom, and that other sites write about. Good design alone doesn't help.

  • Most gaps are small

Blocked crawlers, missing company data, no FAQ: most of it takes hours to fix. You just need to know where.

What we check

28 checks in five areas

  1. 01

    GEO: visibility in AI answers

May GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot & co. read your site? Is there an llms.txt, company data (schema.org), FAQ markup, a Wikidata entry and linked profiles?

  2. 02

    Content & keywords

Do your keywords appear in title, H1, description and text? Is there enough plain text and are customer questions answered?

  3. 03

    Trust (E-E-A-T)

Legal notice, about page, named contacts, address, phone, references and reviews.

  4. 04

    Authority & backlinks

How strongly is your domain linked and mentioned across the web? Is there a Wikipedia article?

  5. 05

    Tech & speed

HTTPS, server response time, sitemap, canonical, mobile display, alt texts, share previews and, on request, Google's Core Web Vitals.

The difference

What this check does that the usual ones don't

  • More than the homepage

We read up to 11 pages: about, services, contact, FAQ, references.

  • Your keywords

You say what you want to be found for. We check whether your website says it too.

  • A competitor alongside

One look shows where the competition is ahead.

  • Building blocks, not advice

You get a ready-made llms.txt and the code for your company data.

The check measures the requirements. Whether and how often AI answers already name you is something we test in a personal call with real questions in ChatGPT and Claude.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI visibility?

AI visibility describes how well AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude find, understand and mention your company. The basis is a website AI crawlers may read, with clear content, structured company data and mentions on other sites.

What is GEO?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: steps that help generative AI systems find your content and cite it as a source. It complements classic search engine optimization (SEO).

What is an llms.txt?

An llms.txt is a short text file in your website's root folder. It tells AI assistants in plain words who you are, what you offer and which pages matter most. The full report includes a ready draft.

How is authority measured?

We use public data: the Tranco list of the most visited domains, Wikidata and Wikipedia. It's an approximation, not a complete backlink profile.

Does the check cost anything?

No. The short result and the full report are free. For the full report we ask for your name and email.

What happens to my data?

For the short result we only need the website address. If you open the full report, we store your name, email and result to send you the report and up to three tip emails. You can unsubscribe any time.
